This project and its prototypes can be considered a speculative design and takes into account indigenous and first nation futures. The tomahawk is used as a pong paddle so others can see that there is an element of play in the indigenous future imaginary, where marginalized groups may not be portrayed in future centric or sci-fi media. I wanted to take this approach because of my son Aiden, who is indigenous and I wanted him to be a part of the narrative involving play and indigenous futures.
